The 20 MW Law: A Regulatory Win for One Energy

Today, HB 6 passed the legislature and included One Energy’s language to increase the 5 MW limit for wind projects up to 20 MW. This is a huge win for One Energy because it makes clear that we are able to develop projects up to 20 MW in size for our industrial and manufacturing customers. Not only will we be able to look at existing projects to see how they can expand, but we will be able to offer bigger projects that can offer better savings to customers with larger electric loads.

Here is a link to a press release on the decision and below is a clip from the hearing today, in which Representative Bill Seitz gives a shout-out to One Energy.

Thanks to everyone who helped with this win for OE – especially the Regulatory team, who has been working tirelessly to make this happen!
