2018 Megawatt Scholarship Awards

The last of our 2018 Megawatt Scholarships were announced this week to multiple students selected from Whirlpool Marion.  These award recipients included graduating high school seniors as well college students at their local universities studying in STEM related fields. Doug Corwin Award Honor

Congratulations to Training Manager Doug Corwin!
Last Thursday (5/24), Mercy Health-St. Rita’s presented Doug with the Greg King Award for Outstanding Dedication and Service to Emergency Medical Services, during a banquet honoring EMS.

Findlay Megawatt Scholarship Make-up Unveilings – Autumn Pisarsky and Megann Hohman

Due to poor weather, the initial Megawatt Scholarship unveiling ceremonies for the Whirlpool Findlay recipients had to be adjusted and remain indoors. To make up for that, we had each of the winners, Autumn and Megann, come by to reveal their names on the wind turbines, receive their $5,000 check, and take a tour of the NFWC and turbines themselves!

If you were out of the office Friday, be sure to read the 6-page spread – it will explain a lot about Jereme’s newfound love of the word “playa.” (We would have used the word baller, but we digress.)
