OE Persuasive Writing Course: The Business of Writing and Reading

One Energy will be offering a persuasive writing class called The Business of Writing and Reading. The course will be held on Tuesday evenings 6-8pm and consists of six sessions over seven weeks (no class on October 16th). The class will be taught by Becky Kupferberg. She currently teaches writing and reading classes for the University of Findlay, as well as high school English for Findlay City Schools. Becky has a big personality and an even bigger passion for helping students navigate the essence of successful communication. If you love boring teachers who go through the motions, don’t take this class. Becky is sure to keep students interested and excited about rhetoric!

This class is open to all OE employees and will be held in the training room. Please let Doug know if you plan on attending.

OE EMT Training Class

Week 2 of the OE EMT training class is underway.

EMT National Registry Certification Exam Results

Congratulations to our current EMT class for passing the NREMT Practical Exam this morning!
And a special thank you to the instructors for all of their help, wisdom, and guidance.

EMT National Registry Certification Exam

Tomorrow (11/2) we will be holding the EMT national registry certification exam here on site.

There will be two instructors and six proctors arriving at NFWC beginning at 8:30 AM,  conducting skills exams until sometime in the afternoon. They will be utilizing the Conference Trailer, the Whale Room, the “Circle Room” (small conference room in Main Trailer) and the offices in the Construction / “Third” Trailer.

The 6 EMT students will be outside in the Conference Trailer while they wait to enter each testing station. We will do our best to make this process as seamless and non-disruptive as possible. In turn, feel free to go about business as usual – however if you could please refrain from any crazy-loud activities that may be a distraction to those who are testing, that would be appreciated.

Lunch will be brought in for the entire office. We’d like to make sure the proctors get fed first, then food is free game for everyone else.

Thanks in advance for your understanding and apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
