Whirlpool Corporation Announces Plans to Use Wind Turbines to Power Greenville, Ohio Facility

In a national press release, Whirpool’s Kitchenaid manufacturing facility announces the operation of their Greenville turbines.  Instead of a traditional ribbon cutting, Whirlpool chose to honor long term committed employees (some had worked over 44 years at the Greenville plant) in a ceremony and then offered turbine tours.  They will also be showing an OE video on the benefits of the project and have a rotating display of construction photos in breakrooms this week.  Additionally, specially designed project T-shirts will be given out to all 1,400 employees this week.

In The News – NFWC Wedding

As we all know, our very own Erin Kashawlic wed her blushing groom Chris Roekle, right here on the North Findlay Wind Campus last Saturday. You may have very well seen the video that was posted on the news feed showing the lovely couple in matrimonial bliss beneath the turbines. But what you may not know is the media furor caused across the nation by our little event. You may be pleasantly surprised to find that our story was picked up by no less than 200 news agencies and potentially seen by a whopping 80 million viewers! Quite a feat!
