“One Energy Shows Students the Power of Wind” – Lima Hometown Stations

This past Saturday, One Energy Field Engineers – Jerrod Carney and Duncan Penizotto, visited Rhodes State College in Lima, Ohio to teach local students about wind energy.

During the event, students learned about wind turbines, as well as some of the instrumentation used to maximize power production. Students then worked together to construct their own DIY cup anemometers.

“Powerful Field Trip” – The Findlay Courier

From The Findlay Courier: “On March 3-4, about 140 Bigelow Hill Elementary School students toured One Energy and learned about how wind turbines in their community produce electricity. The students, who are currently learning about conserving natural resources, were accompanied by Findlay teacher and project-based learning coach Beth Ann Nissen.”

One Energy Board Member Featured on 60 Minutes

During a recent episode of 60 Minutes, journalist Bill Whitaker chats with experts on the vulnerabilities of the U.S. power grid, including One Energy Board Member Jon Wellinghoff. Jon is a former chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC); he joined the One Energy Board of Directors in 2021.
