Greenville Project Update

Our very own Liz Walls will be chairing the wind flow modeling session on Wed. Sept 12. The title of the session is ‘Characterizing Wind Flow Modeling Uncertainty’
Here is the description for the session:
In the pre-construction phase of a wind farm, a considerable amount of time, effort, and money is often devoted to building a wind flow model to predict the spatial variability of the wind resource. Several different modeling approaches are used; however, arguably the more important and most difficult parameter to quantify is the model uncertainty. In this session, we will take a look at different methods used to assess the model uncertainty and we will explore how those techniques can lead to varying levels of uncertainty.
She will also be presenting in the ‘Rapid Fire’ session on Wed.
The title of her presentation is ” A New Method to Assess Wind Farm Performance and Quantify Model Uncertainty“
Let’s show our support for Liz in this new endeavor and check out the workshop website!
Justin Bruns, Technician, joined the One Energy team yesterday. We are thrilled to have you on board.
Welcome Justin!
