EMT Program Update

The next session of the EMT program will begin tonight at 5:30 PM. Participants for this round are Brandy, Carly, Gerbs, JMak, Mij, and Sean. 

The program will run through October and will typically be held in the Conference Trailer on Tuesday evenings, Fridays, and some Saturday mornings. All class sessions are on the company calendar.

The EMT program is accredited through the State of Ohio and is administered by the One Energy Training Institute, one of our companies operating under One Energy Enterprises LLC. Please see JMak or Kelly with any questions.

Business Development Update

SAUDER WOODWORKING COMPANY
Status: Harpooning; Ready

Initial Evaluation update:

The 3D video and Initial Evaluation report (which can be viewed in the project development folder) were delivered to Sauder yesterday. Currently, the project is viable technically but not financially. 
Here’s why:

  • Sauder’s cost per kWh is $.0319/kWh, which is the lowest rate we have seen to date in our screening. 
  • Our PPA Rate offered in the report is $.0530/kWh because they are eligible for a special Economic Development Rider that credits them back $.0080/kWh.
  • First Energy (Toledo Edison’s parent company) is in the process of determining a phase-out of this Rider, which directly impacts the per-kWh rate for Sauder. 

One Energy in our Initial Evaluation is not recommending to move forward at this time, however this project should be considered once the First Energy Rider is phased out

HEARTHSIDE FOOD SOLUTIONS
Status: Beaching; Ready

One Energy met with the local management team last week. Here’s what happened:

  • In the Initial Evaluation and our first pass at siting the 3-turbine project, we discovered that the turbines may affect some microwave patterns. 
  • After looking at additional land, a new siting solution was shown to the team.
  • They agreed with the locations and a new 3D video was made for the project. 

The project is being screened through the corporate hallways for Downers Grove, II.

It is located in Dropbox under Marketing – Approved Documents > Presentation Images. And please feel free to add other beneficial reference materials to that folder (images, screenshots, charts, etc.) Thank you
