The initial evaluations for POET’s facilities in Marion and Leipsic are the focus for BD Tuesday.

POET started in 1987 when Jeff Broin, CEO & Chairman, and his family purchased a foreclosed ethanol plant.  POET has grown from its humble beginnings with a single refinery in Scotland, ND, to one of the largest producers of ethanol and other bio-refined products in the world. With products like, Dakota Gold distiller’s grain, Voila corn oil and JIVE asphalt rejuvenator, POET is using an innovative spirit to develop natural, renewable food sources and alternatives to petrochemicals. POET has an integrated business model that combines technology with their expertise in construction, operations, risk management and marketing.

Both Leipsic and Marion’s locations cleared all initial screenings for siting, FAA, usage, and utility provider
