Business Development Update

Last week, One Energy became a member of the Industrial Energy Users of Ohio (IEU-Ohio), a trade group for industrial and commercial energy users in Ohio. Because of our membership, we were invited to an IEU dinner in Columbus, Ohio with large electric users, vendors, government relations people, and legislators. At the dinner, One Energy was able to network with current and potential customers and have discussions with legislators about issues relevant to One Energy.
Wednesday (2/22) Erin, Jeff, Jereme, and Katie attended the Manufacturers’ Education Council (MEC) for the Management Conference. There were 550+ attendees ranging from manufacturers, to regulators, and energy providers. Our team attended a great panel discussion, “Powering the Future of Ohio’s Economy”, led by Asim Haque the Chairman of Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO). That morning Jereme and Erin gave an exceptional presentation to 25+ attendees. The presentation is linked below

Weather Recap from 2/24/17

Picture

This past weekend there were threats of severe weather, and despite the storms not being as grave as predicted, we were prepared had they been – (securing the yard, taking laptops home, turning computers off, having our wonderful meteorologists on call).
Friday afternoon we set up a GoPro to capture the storm rolling in. Above we have an image of multiple lightning strikes occurring at once.

Recruiting Event – Indiana Virtual Career Fair

Kelly participated in our first experience with a virtual career fair from 19 schools in Indiana including Purdue, Ball State and Valparaiso.  She “chatted” with 44 candidates of which one she sent filter questions to and another we will do a video chat with.  Unfortunately, many of the participates required sponsorship.  Still a good opportunity for us as it required limited resources for us to participate in and allows us to communicate with students from many different schools we wouldn’t normally have access to.
